Every story needs an origin.
 
This one starts in the 1860s with Great-Great Grampa Pawel, who carried what is believed to be the first portable bidet west of the Jasiolka River and up and over Dulka Pass. That bidet was the inspiration for the first Holey Hiker Backpacking Bidet sold in August of 2021. Mine no longer fits onto the bladder of a Podhale Zackel Sheep, but it fits a Smartwater bottle, which is arguably a more practical breakthrough.
 
The OG bidet, the one you may have already read about two products ago, changed a lot of lives. It still does. But something funny started happening in the garage. People kept writing in. A short hiker. A left-handed hiker. A lumberjack type. A cyclist named Hemlock. A construction worker. A person who just wanted to use it at home. Each one needed something slightly different. Each one got their own bidet. And somewhere along the way this one-man Connecticut operation ended up with a product line that includes bidets for people who build with Lego, people who prep for the apocalypse, and one for people whose kids have blowout diapers in parking lots.
 
What if, someone eventually asked me, you are a short left-handed lumberjack who likes to backpack?
 
Buying three different bidets is not the answer.
 
This past winter I went back to the garage. Half a dozen prototypes later, the Every Day Bidet exists. Not the Everyday Bidet. The Every Day Bidet. Because it is a bidet for each day of your life, whether you are in a porta potty, car camping, bivouacked above tree line, thru hiking, wearing flannel, or finishing your avocado toast at a seaside retreat.
