I have thoroughly tested every product on this site. pStyle is the exception :)
I did find a Facebook group post with comment after comment from people who swear by theirs. Then I went to the pStyle website, read the mission statement, and knew I had to carry it. If you've read the bidet descriptions, you know I occasionally exaggerate. Not here with this one. They've been doing this since 2006. They know their product better than I do. So what follows is partly their words and partly mine.
The pStyle is a plastic funnel that lets you pee standing up without taking anything off. That's the whole thing. It works with whatever you're wearing, including the full layered disaster of a winter hiking kit, which is the exact moment a lot of people realize they should have bought one years ago.
It's hard plastic, so it doesn't fold up on you at the wrong moment. That sounds like a low bar until you've held a collapsible one in the cold.
pStyle users include women, trans people, hikers, farmers, truckers, rock climbers, people with disabilities, travelers, field scientists and anyone who has ever had to figure out a squat in a situation that really did not call for one. The reviews aren't hype at this point. They're just two decades of people being glad they bought it and it is made in the USA.
This version is made with Oceanworks recycled ocean plastic, recovered from fishing nets and trawls. Discarded fishing gear is the most destructive category of ocean plastic for marine life and takes around 600 years to break down. It has a better backstory than most gear in your kit.
Package art by Danette Gomes. Worth looking up.
