Everything in the garage started with the bidet.

The bidet led to testing. Testing led to trail miles. Trail miles led to gear obsession. Gear obsession led to a Reddit post from a guy named Brendan in Idaho who was hand-crafting carbon fiber tent stakes in his own garage and claiming they were the lightest on earth.

Bold claim.  I bought one of his very first prototypes.

Turns out: magic.

These things held up my tent like a thru-hiker holds up a conversation about gear weight.

Effortlessly and for way too long. After that first set, Brendan kept tinkering. He took the final pre-production version on an extended trek through the Peruvian Andes. Came back and messaged me: "I've got twenty batches ready to go." I nearly choked on my instant mashed potatoes.

The same tribe that found the bidet in the corner of my garage is now carrying Brendan's stakes through the Adirondacks and Rockies. They're so light you'll forget they're there until they glow back at you at 2am like happy ultralight fireflies.

Two grams each. Ten in a bundle. Carbon fiber. Glow in the dark because Brendan cannot stop improving things. Made in Idaho by someone who cares as much about his craft as anyone I've ever met.

Specs:

  • 2 grams each
  • 6 inches long
  • 10 in a bundle
  • Carbon fiber construction
  • Made by Brendan in Idaho, USA
  • Glow in the dark

One more thing. I now sell the world's first 4-gram stake pusher because carbon fiber stakes are great until they're drilling into your palms. This tiny cap slides over the top of your stakes and keeps your hands pain-free.

Here's the kicker: you can also use it as a bidet. A stake pusher and a bum-blaster. Truly the Swiss Army knife of questionable ideas. The stake pusher is only available as a $5 add-on when you buy Pachallama Stakes, because some luxuries should only be enjoyed by the ultralight elite.

Go lighter than everyone else without sacrificing an ounce of reliability.
