If you made it to my little corner of the world, you probably already know what the CNOC ThruBottle is. What you might not know is that CNOC came out with a new version, the CNOC ThruBottle 1000. I'm not making that up. It does sound like something I would come up with.

What's up with the 1000? It is 1000 times easier to squeeze.

Now to what you are actually wondering about. Does it work with a Holey Hiker Bidet? Yes, with a caveat.

To insert the bidet you have to twist as you push it in. After you do it once it becomes second nature. Then you give it a very slight pull forward to lock it in. Again, after doing this once you won't think about it again. If you skip that little pull, some water will drip out while you're using it. Not really a big deal.

Nerding out on why. The way the bottle was molded left some grooves inside the neck. Water can sneak under the o-rings right at those grooves. The slight pull moves the o-rings to a spot where there are no grooves, and they seal properly.

I have used it. I will no longer be carrying a Smartwater bottle. Moving forward this is what I'm using.

Is the spray as good as a Smartwater bottle? Not quite. But an extra 5 seconds of spraying does not bother me.

Does it take an extra second of thinking to put the bidet in? Yes. For me that's happening at most once a day, so I don't care.

One open question. I want to know how the fit holds up when the neck is below freezing. I'm currently running freezer tests.
