Bagzilla – The Ultralight Tent Stake Bag for Pachallama Stakes

Meet Bagzilla: small in size, monstrous in personality.

When I held the Pachallama Ultralight stakes for the first time, I had a moment. You know the one. Where you realize something so perfectly minimal shouldn't be shoved into some oversized stuff sack designed for gear three times its size. These stakes needed a home. A proper one.

One night while scrolling through gear forums I stumbled across a post from a guy named Rich.

Thru-hiker. Living in Virginia. Making ultralight gear in the corner of his living room instead of binge-watching whatever Netflix was pushing that week. I thought, that's my guy.

So I reached out. Rich, I said, I need a bag. Not just any bag. A bag for exactly ten Pachallama stakes. Nothing more, nothing less. Can you do it?

The man delivered.

When the prototype arrived it fit those stakes like it was meant to be. No extra room. No wasted space. Just perfection sitting in my hand in the garage. I stood there and thought, we need to call this Bagzilla. Because that's what it is. A little tiny monster of efficiency.

Rich made this. I carry it. The same garage that gave you the bidet is now in the business of housing the lightest stakes on earth with the dignity they deserve.

Specs that matter:

  • 7.5 x 2 inches
  • Dyneema/poly cord with tracer
  • Glow-in-the-dark micro cord lock (because Rich has good taste)
  • 1.0 oz Dyneema fabric
  • Weight: 2 grams (okay, 2.1g)
  • Color: Sunflower (more yellow in real life than in photos, I hesitate to edit)
